When principles collide with the real world…

I won’t go into detail, just another occasion of realizing that doing the ‘right’ thing is not always the thing you want to be doing (okay, we all knew that already).

Then again, maybe this isn’t my problem. Maybe I should stop trying to be/feel responsible for everything. And start enjoying, without worrying about the consequences.

Or instead, maybe I should lock myself in my hotel room for the night and start preparing my job interview or (more fun) my weekend in Moscow next week.

*sigh*

Haha, yes yes.. That's a problem I struggle with a lot, too! As Tom Waits said, "Goddamn, there's always such a big temptation to be good".. But sometimes, at least that is my experience, doing the less responsible thing can be good for you as well.. Everybody deserves some time to play around now and then right?!

true true... but not when there's a risk of other people getting hurt though...

I know, I am all for women solidarity on this point. But the rest of the world doesn't seem to have such principles all of the time. Especially the men, but then again, could one expect otherwise? Why do we always have to be the sensible ones?
